Bidding and buying

If you want to bid on lots in our auction, you need an account. You can easily create an account via the ‘log in’ button. After filling in the required details correctly, you will receive a confirmation e-mail to confirm your account. Once you have followed these steps, you are officially registered and can bid on the objects in all our auctions. Through our cooperation with Vendu Rotterdam, you can also use this login to bid on the auctions organised from Rotterdam.

Bidding in an auction

All auctions at Vendu Dickhaut Maastricht are timed online. This means that the auction opens online on a specified start date. From this moment on, all the lots in the auction can be bid on. To bid, you need to be logged in. You can choose to bid directly or leave an automatic bid with a maximum amount. Our system will then automatically bid for you up to your specified maximum. You will be notified by e-mail as soon as someone else places a higher bid. Bidding is possible up to the indicated auction end date, after which the lots close in stages. This makes it easy to place a bid whenever and wherever you want. If a bid is placed in the last minute, the closing time is extended by 3 minutes.

When bidding, the hammer price is always shown. This amount is increased by commission costs.

After the auction

Did you manage to get your favourite lot? Then you will receive confirmation and the invoice by e-mail after the auction. The objects purchased must be paid for and collected within five working days. You can transfer your purchased objects by bank transfer, after which you can collect them from us. It is convenient to make an appointment for this. Then your purchases will be ready for you. It is also possible to have your purchased objects delivered. Click here for our various shipping and delivery options.

Aftersales

Lots that remained unsold during the auction, we offer them shortly afterwards in the so-called ‘aftersales’. You can then buy these objects for the starting price plus commission and any other costs.
