Our experts
Our team consists of experienced appraisers with specialist knowledge of a wide range of collecting areas. Whether it concerns historical military objects, vintage toys or rare stamps, we closely follow market developments and work closely with museums, collectors and experts at home and abroad. You are therefore assured of a reliable and up-to-date valuation.
Why have your collection valued?
Valuing a collector's item or complete collection is valuable for several reasons. You can use the appraisal to determine the value for sale, to appraise for inheritance, to understand the rarity of the objects or to find out if your collection is suitable for auction. Our appraisers pay attention to factors such as:
- Rarity and historical importance of the objects
- The state of maintenance and completeness of the collection
- Signatures, makers, origins or certificates
- Supply and demand in national and international markets
- Trends in collectibles and auction results
For official purposes (insurance, inheritance or divorce), we can prepare a recognised valuation report according to the guidelines of the Federation TMV. Allow for a starting rate from €135 excluding VAT for the first hour and any report costs.
Valuing your collection
At Vendu Dickhaut, you can have a valuation carried out in various ways, depending on the size and nature of your collection:
- Free valuation days: You are welcome every Tuesday between 10:00 and 16:00 at our location at Bredestraat 23 in Maastricht. Bring a selection of your collection or clear photos and get an initial assessment from our experts right away.
- Online valuation: Is a visit difficult or do you live outside Maastricht? Upload photos and descriptions of your collection via our online form. We will send you an indicative valuation within a few working days.
- Home valuation: In the case of bulky, fragile or difficult to move collections, we will also come to your home. Together we will schedule an appointment during which our appraiser will carefully assess the entire collection.s
